Over 90% of companies worldwide are privately held. They're the backbone of the global economy, driving GDP and employment. This includes multinational giants like IKEA, Mars, and Bosch, as well as some of the world's most innovative tech companies like Stripe, Databricks and Revolut. To fuel their growth, private companies rely on outside capital, and there has never been larger demand at any point in history. Private markets are projected to triple to over $30 trillion over the next five years. This is the fastest-growing segment of the world of finance and the primary engine of the global economy.

But while the industry is exploding, the underlying infrastructure is stuck in the past. Everything that makes public markets efficient, simply doesn't exist for private markets. There is no standardization, no interconnectedness, no efficient record-keeping. The same data gets manually retyped between isolated systems and spreadsheets over and over. Every export, import, and human touch creates friction, delays, and errors.

At Nomerra we want to let capital flow faster, reach further, and create more value. We're doing this by building the AI Coworker that does all capital-related work at machine speed with zero errors, 24/7.

Who we are

We, Johannes and Jakob, met as first employees at bunch, a tech-enabled fund administrator with $50M+ in backing from investors such as Portage (part of Sagard) and Illuminate Financial. We helped scale the team to over 100 employees and expand across Europe.

Johannes drove firm-wide growth and expansion, while Jakob built the proprietary system the in-house operations team worked in. We saw firsthand how AI transforms private market operations and founded Nomerra to bring that shift to the $13 trillion industry at large.

We've since started working with a select group of clients and raised $2M to build out an exceptional team. We're based in Berlin but global from day one, continuously benchmarking ourselves against the best to build a category-defining company.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for builders who take ownership, care about the outcome, and are always curious.

We radically prioritize high-impact work, to fundamentally change an industry stuck in the last century. Close collaboration is central to how we operate, and the magic of working together from our Berlin office is an integral part of that. While experience or strong interest in private markets, financial services or similarly complex industries is a clear benefit, we primarily hire for the right mindset.

We're building what has not been built yet. The opportunity is massive, and the timing is now.
